Keep Scrolling seeks to prompt reflection on contemporary internet browsing habits, particularly on social media, taking an everyday gesture as its starting point: scrolling. The excessive use of this practice—when an individual continues scrolling indefinitely, without a clear purpose and losing connection with the information being consumed—becomes a metaphor for current digital behavior. This gesture reveals how information overload and design strategies aimed at fostering addictive habits keep us continuously online, generating the illusion of constant novelty while, paradoxically, we end up always orbiting around the exact same content.
The artwork was created in 2025, a time of heightened tension, coinciding with the State of Israel’s attacks on Palestine. The news avalanche accompanying the conflict demonstrated how media overexposure can sometimes block critical thinking: we consume news relentlessly, yet the time and space to process it are scarce, precisely at a moment when taking action is urgent. In this sense, infinite scrolling describes not only a digital habit, but also a contemporary condition marked by saturation, repetition, and the difficulty of developing a perspective of one’s own in the face of the world’s complexity.
